Black Beauty contains three exceptionally dark-green turf-type tall fescues. Sod growers around the country have planted thousands of acres for increased drought tolerance.

25% Tombstone Turf-Type Tall Fescue

The turf grasses that survive in heavily trafficed areas such as sports playing fields, backyards where children play and pet areas are all very deeply rosted and drought tolerant. Some of the newer grasses used in our seed mixtures will sink their roots over four feet deep. Turf grasses that withstand the wear and tear of active feet need to be fed at least four times a year to look their best.

These grass seed mixtures are also great performers in sunny, dry seeding situations.
